The Carnival of Capitalists at The Virtual Handshake

Participating in Carnivals is fun, and today one of my blog posts was published in the Carnival of Capitalists, hosted at The Virtual Handshake. The post was about cultivating customer loyalty through great customer service and support. Since it was on this blog, I'm sure you read it right? I do a lot of reading (other blogs, magazines, etc.) and probably don't give out enough props, so here goes: Please Stop with Your Chinese Math is a great article about entrepreneurs going to VCs and saying, "The market's huge! We only need a super small percentage of it to be successful!" There's a fallacy in there which every entrepreneur should realize. (Of course in my mind, I'm saying, "The greeting card/ecard industry is HUGE! All IGotNewsForYou.com needs is 1% of that and woohoo!" Easier said than done, my friends.) Pam at Escape from Cubicle Nation is writing some great stuff on being an entrepreneur. One recent post in particular struck a real chord: Developing your entrepreneur chops? Get comfortable with tough feedback. Been there, done that. Lots of learning there for entrepreneurs. Creating Passionate Users is a great blog about business, marketing, technology and generally covers a lot of interesting topics. Plus they often have some pretty funny graphics on the site. One of their recent posts, What if managers had to do tech support? is a great example. (Hey! I'm a manager and I do tech support! It makes me a better manager...) So there you have it. Kudos to all of these bloggers for their great content. And if you want more information on the Carnival of Capitalists, check out the main site. (Technorati Tags: , , , , )
