Dan Janal at PR Leads Donates Prize to Writing Contest!
Dan Janal runs a business called PR Leads which helps business experts get publicity. The service helps reporters looking for information on specific topics find the experts they need (i.e. you), so you don't have to hunt down the reporters to get publicity. I haven't used PR Leads, but I've been a regular reader of Dan's blog for some time, where he gives away tons of insight and information about the PR world.
Last night, Dan confirmed his prize donation to our Fake, Funny News Writing Contest! The writing contest was set to end May 12th, but with this new prize, I'm extending the contest for 2 months, so the new end date is July 14th. This will give more people time to submit their fake, funny news.
Oh, right, so what's the prize? The prize is a CD of an interview that Dan did with Joan Stewart, "The Publicity Hound", on how to create your expert image so reporters will call you when news breaks. At Dan's blog, in a post titled, How the press decides what to write about, he goes into specific details on what the interview contains. If you're interested in PR or need help with PR, this CD is going to be worthwhile.
This is a great prize, and I'm really excited about it. It's the kind of prize that could help a ton of business people, entrepreneurs, authors, etc.
Thanks to Dan for the donation.
