From A Perfectly Cromulent Blog I learned about No Pants Day which is officially tomorrow, May 5, 2006. There's even an official website it looks like at http://www.nopantsday.com where you can get all the assorted information. For the ladies: skirts and dresses don't count. For the Scots: kilts don't count. There are a few events going on in the U.S. that they make reference to - pub parties where everyone shouldn't be wearing pants (sounds like a normal evening in Montreal really), and they're encouraging people to take pictures and upload them to Flickr or send them via email to the site. That might be a bit dangerous...one can only imagine what sorts of pictures they'll get, but like reality television, we can't help but be intrigued. I think the most important thing, and from scanning the No Pants Day website it seems to be missed...PLEASE clean undies. No stains, streaks, tears or rips should be allowed. No undies that you've been wearing for 3 days cause you were too lazy to do laundry. Thongs are fine. Not for men. Ok, men can wear thongs too, but dang... Will I go pantless tomorrow? Good question. I'm out of college so I couldn't just explain it as a "radical, freedom fighting move of a drunkard university student", and would have to explain to my office what I'm doing. I may, we'll see. Depends a lot on the weather here. It's still a bit chilly...with shrinkage factor and all that, could be a dangerous move on my part.
