Tell a Story at Sutori. A Story About the Good and Bad of Customer Service.

Over at HorsePigCow, Tara has posted about a new site soon-to-be-launched called Sutori. The site is meant to give people the opportunity to tell the world their stories about crappy and good customer service as well as stories about bad and good products. They've got a blog going that talks a bit more about what they'll be doing. It's a cool idea. Anywhere that lets people communicate (preferrably in a structured way so it doesn't degrade into stupidity) is a positive thing. I particularly like (and would encourage) the angle of positive stories, not because I think we should be brown-nosers with companies, but because it's rare that we experience great, or even good, customer service. When we do, as consumers, we should definitely talk about it. The bad always comes out, and I'm all for complaining (I do it here quite a bit) and uprooting the stupidity of crappy customer service, but it's nice to think about being able to help companies out by telling positive stories. Looking back at some of my recent experiences (and those of my father), I can see a market for having a place to tell our stories... Quality Tech Support from Canon a Shocker (positive story!) Guests Come and Go. Cable Guys Almost Never Show Up to Begin With (negative story) The Delta Hotel Disappoints; Pricey, Old and Hairy (Just Not a Good Combination) (clearly negative) (Technorati Tags: , , , , )

Thanks for the approach which could help to restore the lost arts of customer service. It owuld be great if this post and approach could become widespread in the halls of learning what it means to serve a customer for winning results... Bravo... We might have just begun the revolution ... Just today NPR told of Singapore airlines who is posting profits yearly because they care for customers! - There is another story to add to the list...
