To the Golf Course We Go...But At Least The Habs Tried
Well, you can't ask for much more than that game, except a win of course. The Habs dominated, while the Canes played like they were holding out for that one, lucky shot...of course, they got it.
The Habs hit, shot, crashed the net: did they read my to-do list for them? (Nah, they just knew it had to be done.)
Sadly, one lousy shot, tipped in off the defenseman's stick surprised Huet (who stood on his net most of the series) and that's all.
The Habs lose 2-1 to Carolina, and in 6 games bow out of the playoffs.
Kudos for a decently fought series...but they should have had it. Ah well, hindsight...
Enough of that. Now I'll cheer for a couple other teams I guess, but it's never the same. As Tommy pointed out in a comment on my post below, once your team is gone, it ain't the same. He's a Stars fan; and they really got slaughtered.
