Celebrate BlogDay Today! Find 5 Blogs You Never Knew Were Out There.

Today is BlogDay! Yay! What is BlogDay? It's simple. We're celebrating bloggers and the blogosphere by going out and finding 5 new blogs that we didn't know about before. We're telling them that we've nominated them for BlogDay and we're listing them. I say "we" cause I hope you'll join me. It's fun. So here goes. First, I did a search using Google's Blogsearch for the term "entrepreneurship." I very quickly found Entrepreneurship Blog from Andrew Fife, but alas, he doesn't put any contact information on the blog. No easy way to email Andrew. So I can't nominate him for BlogDay. Actually, I was shocked at how many blogs didn't include any form of contact information. Some had it, but buried, and others didn't at all. Like this one: iinnovate: a podcast on innovation and entrepreneurship. Looks great, but I can't contact them! Then I found BuildV1 - a blog by entrepreneur Eric (no last name?) and yes, there's an email address! Eric, happy BlogDay! Eric's blog isn't updated a lot, but he's working on an interesting project to bring entrepreneurs togther called BuildV1.com. It's worth taking a look at. The 2nd blog I found (after far more digging around than I expected to do) is TED Blog (which came from eMoms at Home's blogroll.) TED Blog's tagling is "Ideas that matter in technology, entertainment and design." It's a nice looking blog, chock full of great content. And while there's only a generic email address (I couldn't find email addresses for each contributor) that's better than nothing. Any hockey fans out there? I hope so! For something completely different, I went hunting for blogs about the Montreal Canadiens. The first one I found was habsblog.com -- as a good a source as any for hockey-related news about the Canadiens and the league in general. Next there's Montreal Canadiens Legends by Joe Pelletier. There isn't a lot there but it looks like he's doing profiles on hockey legends from the Canadiens, of which there are plenty. You can also check out Hockey's Greatest Legends. For my final BlogDay find I went hunting for Montreal-based blogs and I couldn't resist Midnight Poutine. Don't know what poutine is? Read about it here. It's a delicious combination of french fries and cheese. Sometimes there's gravy involved and other condiments. I try and stay away from it as much as possible or my waistline would explode. As for Midnight Poutine it looks like a fun, entertaining site about what's happening in Montreal. (Technorati Tags: , , , , , , )

I totally agree with you!! When I recruit for the BlogJolt project, I go out and find great blogs and invite them personally. But I can’t tell you how many talented bloggers I have never been able to contact because there was NO CONTACT INFO. What the heck are these people thinking!! ;)

'DOH! Forgot it both times! THANKS for the link! I'm going nuts today!

Hello Wendy,

Today's adventure into the blogosphere really really surprised me. I'm going to write about it a bit more in the future cause I just don't get it either.

Some people have AMAZING content ... no CONTACT info. Why? Why oh why?
